Our inspiration comes from Transylvania. From mountains whose outline is drawn clearly against the evening sky. From the Gothic walls of the Black Church in Brașov and from spires that rise without haste. From the patience of a craft passed from hand to hand. From the legends we keep only the refinement: mystery as discretion, strength as calm.

The Creator
The eye that learned that black has shades
The Creator is a character of the house, imagined as a designer: a person of the craft, not a fantastical figure. The Creator leads Dracula House of Fashion. The name remains ‘The Creator’ in every language.
Origin
The story says The Creator grew up where the last street ends and the forest begins. The name does not matter. What matters is what lay before those eyes: a horizon of mountains that, in the low evening light, does not disappear but becomes a line. From there came the first conviction: shadow does not hide form; it makes it clearer.
What shaped the eye
Carpathian light
Black is never a single colour. There is the black of the fir forest, the black of wet stone, the black of slate roofs. Every Dracula Design piece begins with one question: which black?
The Gothic architecture of Transylvania
Pointed arches, spires, the sober walls of the Black Church in Brașov. Hence the attention to verticals and proportion, and the fine line that runs through the DD monogram like a spire.
The discipline of the guilds
In The Creator’s imagination, the towns of Transylvania kept the rigour of the old guilds: the cut made once, and made right; the stitch that holds because it was considered, not rushed. The Creator does not imitate an old workshop, but carries its patience forward.

The working ritual
The Creator works in the morning, at a north-facing window, in the only light that shows black as it truly is. Each piece begins on a white sheet with a black pencil and a red one: one line, then another, until the silhouette stands on its own. Nothing is added that cannot be justified. When a piece is finished, it rests on the work table until the next day and is looked at again with rested eyes. Only if it holds up to that second look does it receive its monogram.
The house standard: leather
Our standard begins with the leather. We use full-grain Italian calfskin: the top layer of the hide, kept whole with its natural grain. We select only vegetable-tanned hides, chosen by batch so that the shade of black matches from one piece to the next. The finish is matte, and the leather develops a patina of its own over time.
